The historical Kannada film made in whopping budget of over 25 crores starring challenging star Darshan, Dr Jayaprada and 30 well known supporting artists of Kannada cinema is heading for 50th day.The film entered the 7th week for this Friday. It was released on November 1, 2012. It is at the 45th day in over 82 theatres of Karnataka shows the supremacy of this historicalfilm.
The film 'KVSR' was not released like the previous films of Darshan - Boss, Chingari and Sarathi were released. This wasreleased in only 135 theatres. AKannada film in the 7th week retaining 80 plus theatres is the biggest news.
Meanwhile the film 'KVSR' has earned back the investment and the big chunk of profit has come from the television rights. It is a history again as the highest rate was paid for this historical film by a satellitechannel.
The demand for Darshan to accept more such roles are pouring in. He is not interested in it suddenly. I would not touch such a big film for a few more years he says. He has quite a few films to complete. All of them were waiting for Darshan to finish off the publicity work for KVSR.
It will be 'Bul Bul' from Darshanin the beginning of 2013. His next will by 'Viraat'. He has acted in 'Agraja' with Jaggesh and the recent release of Darshan in a cop role 'Snehitharu' hearing for 75 days of screening.
