ಹೊಸ ವಿವಾದಕ್ಕೆ ನಾಂದಿ ಹಾಡಿದ ಸಂಗೊಳ್ಳಿ ರಾಯಣ್ಣ
ಇತ್ತೀಚೆಗೆ ಏನೇನು ವಿವಾದಗಳಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಬಣಬಣ ಎನ್ನುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಕನ್ನಡ ಚಿತ್ರರಂಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಮತ್ತೊಂದು ವಿವಾದ ಧುತ್ತನೆ ತಲೆಯೆತ್ತಿದೆ. ಚಾಲೆಂಜಿಂಗ್ ಸ್ಟಾರ್ ದರ್ಶನ್ ಅವರ ಭಾರಿ ಬಜೆಟ್ ಚಿತ್ರ 'ಕ್ರಾಂತಿವೀರ ಸಂಗೊಳ್ಳಿ ರಾಯಣ್ಣ' ಚಿತ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ಸಂಗೊಳ್ಳಿ ಗ್ರಾಮಸ್ಥರಿಂದ ತೀವ್ರ ವಿರೋಧ ವ್ಯಕ್ತವಾಗಿದೆ.
ಸಂಗೊಳ್ಳಿ ಗ್ರಾಮಸ್ಥರು ಹೇಳುವುದೇನೆಂದರೆ, ಇಡೀ ತನ್ನ ಜೀವನವನ್ನೇ ದೇಶಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಮುಡಿಪಾಗಿಟ್ಟಂತಹ ಮಹಾನ್ ದೇಶಭಕ್ತ ಸಂಗೊಳ್ಳಿ ರಾಯಣ್ಣ. ಇಂತಹ ಮಹಾನ್ ನಾಯಕನಿಗೆ ಚಿತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಪಮಾನ ಮಾಡಲಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಗ್ರಾಮಸ್ಥರು ಆಕ್ಷೇಪಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಅವರ ಆಕ್ಷೇಪಕ್ಕೆ ಕಾರಣವಾಗಿರುವ ಅಂಶಗಳು ಹೀಗಿವೆ. ಚಿತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂಗೊಳ್ಳಿ ರಾಯಣ್ಣನಿಗೆ ಮದುವೆ ಮಾಡುವ ಸನ್ನಿವೇಶವಿದೆ. ಆದರೆ ನೈಜವಾಗಿ ರಾಯಣ್ಣನಿಗೆ ಮದುವೆಯಾಗಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಇದು ಸಾಲದು ಎಂಬಂತೆ ಹಾಡು ಕುಣಿತಗಳ ಮೂಲಕ ಅಸಭ್ಯವಾಗಿ ಚಿತ್ರಿಸಿ ರಾಯಣ್ಣನ ಪಾತ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ಅಪಮಾನ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಎಂಬುದು ಗ್ರಾಮಸ್ಥರ ಗಂಭೀರ ಆರೋಪ.
ಮಹಾನ್ ದೇಶಭಕ್ತನಾಗಿದ್ದ ರಾಯಣ್ಣ ಈ ರೀತಿ ಹುಡುಗಿಯರ ಜೊತೆ ಹಾಡಿ, ಕುಣಿದು ಮೋಜು ಮಸ್ತಿ ಮಾಡಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಆದರೆ ಚಿತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ರಾಯಣ್ಣ ಹೀರೋಯಿನ್ ಜೊತೆ ಕುಣೀತಾನೆ. ನಟಿಯರ ಜೊತೆ ಹಾಡುತ್ತಾನೆ. ಇದಿಷ್ಟೇ ಅಲ್ಲದೆ ಚಿತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ರಾಯಣ್ಣನ ವೇಷ ಭೂಷಣ ಹಾಗೂ ನಡವಳಿಕೆಯನ್ನೂ ವಿಭಿನ್ನವಾಗಿ ತೋರಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆಯಂತೆ.
ಚಿತ್ರ ಇನ್ನೂ ಬಿಡುಗಡೆಯೇ ಆಗಿಲ್ಲ. ಆದರೂ ಇಷ್ಟೆಲ್ಲಾ ವಿವರಗಳು ಹೇಗೆ ಗೊತ್ತಾಯಿತು ಎಂದರೆ, ನಮಗೆ ಸಿಕ್ಕ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಚಿತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಈ ಸನ್ನಿವೇಶಗಳಿವೆ ಎನ್ನುತ್ತಾರೆ ಸಂಗೊಳ್ಳಿ ಗ್ರಾಮಸ್ಥರು. ಚಿತ್ರ ತೆಗೆಯುವುದಕ್ಕೂ ಮುನ್ನ ನಮ್ಮೂರಿಗೆ ಒಮ್ಮೆ ಬಂದು ಸತ್ಯಾಸತ್ಯತೆಗಳನ್ನು ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕಾಗಿತ್ತು ಎನ್ನುತ್ತಾರೆ ಸಂಗೊಳ್ಳಿ ಗ್ರಾಮ ಪಂಚಾಯಿತಿ ಸದಸ್ಯ ರಾಜಶೇಖರ್ ಒಕ್ಕುಂದಮಠ್.
ಅವರು ಮಾತನಾಡುತ್ತಾ, "ಚಿತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ರಾಯಣ್ಣ ಕುದುರೆ ಹತ್ತಿ ಯುದ್ಧ ಮಾಡುವಂತೆ ತೋರಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಆದರೆ ನೈಜವಾಗಿ ರಾಯಣ್ಣ ಕುದುರೆ ಹತ್ತಿ ಯುದ್ಧ ಮಾಡಿಲ್ಲ. ಅವರು ಗೆರಿಲ್ಲಾ ಮಾದರಿಯ ಯುದ್ಧ ತಂತ್ರಗಳಿಗೆ ಹೆಸರಾಗಿದ್ದರು" ಎನ್ನುತ್ತಾರೆ.
ರಾಯಣ್ಣನ ವಂಶಸ್ಥರು ಈಗಲೂ ನಮ್ಮ ಊರಿನಲ್ಲಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಅವರನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಭೇಟಿಯಾಗಿ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ಕಲೆಹಾಕಿಬೇಕಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಕನಿಷ್ಠ ಚಿತ್ರದ ಮೊದಲ ಸನ್ನಿವೇಶವನ್ನೂ ನಮ್ಮ ಊರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ತೆಗೆದಿಲ್ಲ. ಯಾವ ಆಧಾರದ ಮೇಲೆ ಇವರು ಚಿತ್ರವನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಎಂಬುದು ಗೊತ್ತಾಗುತ್ತಿಲ್ಲ. ಇತಿಹಾಸವನ್ನು ತಿರುಚುವ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನವನ್ನು ಮಾಡುವುದು ಸರಿಯಲ್ಲ ಎಂಬುದು ರಾಜಶೇಖರ್ ವಾದ.
ಈ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಅವರು ಹೈಕೋರ್ಟ್ ಮೆಟ್ಟಿಲೇರುವುದಾಗಿಯೂ, ಸೆನ್ಸಾರ್ ಮಂಡಳಿ ಬಾಗಿಲು ತಟ್ಟುವುದಾಗಿಯೂ ತಿಳಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ವಿಚಿತ್ರ ಎಂದರೆ ಕ್ರಾಂತಿವೀರ ಸಂಗೊಳ್ಳಿ ರಾಯಣ್ಣ ಚಿತ್ರದ ನಿರ್ಮಾಪಕ ಆನಂದ್ ಅಪ್ಪುಗೋಳ್ ಅವರು ಇದೇ ಊರಿನವರು ಎನ್ನಲಾಗಿದೆ.
ಸರಿಸುಮಾರು ರು.30 ಕೋಟಿ ಬಜೆಟ್‌ನಲ್ಲಿ ಚಿತ್ರವನ್ನು ನಿರ್ಮಿಸಲಾಗಿದ್ದು, 77 ವರ್ಷಗಳ ಕನ್ನಡ ಸಿನಿ ಇತಿಹಾಸದಲ್ಲೇ ಭಾರಿ ಬಜೆಟ್ ಚಿತ್ರವಾಗಿ ಹೊಸ ದಾಖಲೆ ಬರೆಯಲಿದೆ. ನಾಗಣ್ಣ ನಿರ್ದೇಶನ, ಕೇಶವಾದಿತ್ಯ ಸಂಭಾಷಣೆ, ರಮೇಶ್ ಬಾಬು ಅವರ ಛಾಯಾಗ್ರಹಣ ಪ್ರೇಕ್ಷಕರನ್ನು ಸ್ವಾತಂತ್ರ್ಯಪೂರ್ವಕ್ಕೆ ಕರೆದೊಯ್ಯಲಿದೆ ಎನ್ನುತ್ತಾರೆ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕರು.
ಚಿತ್ರದ ತಾರಾಗಣದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಖಿತಾ ತುಕ್ರಲ್, ಶ್ರೀನಿವಾಸಮೂರ್ತಿ, ಶೋಭರಾಜ್, ಉಮಾಶ್ರೀ, ದೊಡ್ಡಣ್ಣ, ಸಿ.ಆರ್.ಸಿಂಹ, ರಮೇಶ್ ಭಟ್, ಶಿವಕುಮಾರ್, ಧರ್ಮ, ಸೌರವ್, ಸತ್ಯಜಿತ್, ಬ್ರಹ್ಮಾವರ್, ಕರಿಬಸವಯ್ಯ, ಕಿಲ್ಲರ್ ವೆಂಕಟೇಶ್, ಅರವಿಂದ್ ಬಿರೇದಾರ್, ರಾಜೇಶ್ ಹಾಗೂ ವಿಜಯ ಸಾರಥಿ ಅಭಿನಯಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ. (ಒನ್‍ಇಂಡಿಯಾ ಕನ್ನಡ)

ಕನ್ನಡ ಚಿತ್ರರಂಗ ಇತ್ತೀಚಿನ ದಿನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ವಿವಾದಗಳಿಂದಲೇ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರಮಟ್ಟದಲ್ಲಿ ಸುದ್ದಿ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದೆ. ದರ್ಶನ್ ಕೇಸ್ ಆಯ್ತು, ನಿಖಿತಾ ಬ್ಯಾನ್ ಆಯ್ತು, ಕಠಾರಿ ವಿವಾದ ಮುಗೀತು, ಅಷ್ಟರಲ್ಲಿ 'ಕ್ರಾಂತಿವೀರ ಸಂಗೊಳ್ಳಿ ರಾಯಣ್ಣ'ನಿಗೆ ವಿವಾದದ ಕಿಡಿ ಹೊತ್ತಿಸಲು ರೆಡಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ ವಿವಾದ ಪ್ರಿಯರು!
'ಕ್ರಾಂತಿವೀರ ಸಂಗೊಳ್ಳಿ ರಾಯಣ್ಣ' ಚಿತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿನ ಅಂಶಗಳಿಗೆ ಬೆಳಗಾವಿಯ ಬೈಲಹೊಂಗಲ ತಾಲೂಕಿನ ಸಂಗೊಳ್ಳಿ ಗ್ರಾಮಸ್ಥರು ವಿರೋಧ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸುತ್ತಿರುವುದು ಇದೇ ಮೊದಲಲ್ಲ. ಆರೇಳು ತಿಂಗಳುಗಳ ಹಿಂದೆಯೂ ಗ್ರಾಮದ ಮುಖಂಡರಾದ ಮಲ್ಲನಗೌಡ ಪಾಟೀಲ್ ಮತ್ತು ಮಲ್ಲಿಕಾರ್ಜುನ್ ಕುಡೊಳ್ಳಿ ಕಿಡಿ ಕಾರಿದ್ದರು. ಚಿತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಹಲವು ಅಪಭ್ರಂಶಗಳನ್ನು ತೋರಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ, ಇದು ಸಲ್ಲದು ಎಂದು ಆಕ್ರೋಶ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸಿದ್ದರು.
ಈಗ ಇನ್ನೊಬ್ಬರು ಮಾಧ್ಯಮಗಳ ಮುಂದೆ ಬಂದಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಸಂಗೊಳ್ಳಿ ಗ್ರಾಮ ಪಂಚಾಯಿತಿ ಸದಸ್ಯ ರಾಜಶೇಖರ್ ಒಕ್ಕುಂದಮಠ್ ಎಂಬುವವರು ಚಿತ್ರ ಬಿಡುಗಡೆಗೆ ಅವಕಾಶ ನೀಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲ ಎಂದಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಅವರು ಸೆನ್ಸಾರ್ ಮಂಡಳಿಗೂ ದೂರು ನೀಡುತ್ತಾರಂತೆ, ಫಲ ಕೊಡದೇ ಇದ್ದರೆ ಹೈಕೋರ್ಟ್‌ಗೂ ಹೋಗುತ್ತಾರಂತೆ.

ಸ್ವಾತಂತ್ರ್ಯ ಹೋರಾಟಗಾರ ಸಂಗೊಳ್ಳಿ ರಾಯಣ್ಣನಿಗೆ ಮದುವೆ ಆಗಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಆತ ವೀರ ಮರಣವನ್ನಪ್ಪುವವರೆಗೆ ಬ್ರಹ್ಮಚಾರಿಯಾಗಿಯೇ ಇದ್ದ. ಆದರೆ ಸಿನಿಮಾದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂಗೊಳ್ಳಿ ರಾಯಣ್ಣನ ಪಾತ್ರ ಮಾಡಿರುವ ದರ್ಶನ್‌ಗೆ ನಿಖಿತಾರನ್ನು ಪತ್ನಿಯಂತೆ ಬಿಂಬಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಜತೆಗೆ ರಾಯಣ್ಣ ನರ್ತಿಸುತ್ತಿರುವುದು ಕೂಡ ಪೋಸ್ಟರುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಕಂಡು ಬಂದಿದೆ. ಇದು ಇತಿಹಾಸವನ್ನು ತಿರುಚಿರುವುದೇ ಹೊರತು ಮತ್ತಿನ್ನೇನಲ್ಲ.

ಸಂಗೊಳ್ಳಿ ರಾಯಣ್ಣ ಯಾವತ್ತೂ ಕುದುರೆ ಓಡಿಸಿದವನಲ್ಲ. ಆದರೆ ಈ ಸಿನಿಮಾದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂಗೊಳ್ಳಿ ರಾಯಣ್ಣನ ಪಾತ್ರಕ್ಕೆಂದು 17 ಲಕ್ಷ ರೂಪಾಯಿಗಳನ್ನು ತೆತ್ತು ಬಿಳಿ ಕುದುರೆಯನ್ನು ತರಲಾಗಿತ್ತು. ರಾಯಣ್ಣ ನಿಜ ಜೀವನದಲ್ಲಿ ಎದೆ ಕವಚವನ್ನು ಹಾಕಿದವನೇ ಅಲ್ಲ. ಆದರೆ ಚಿತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಅದನ್ನು ತೋರಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ರಾಯಣ್ಣನ ಪಾತ್ರವನ್ನು ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿ ತಿರುಚಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಸತ್ಯಾಂಶಗಳನ್ನು ಮರೆ ಮಾಚಿ ವೈಭವೀಕರಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ.

'ಕ್ರಾಂತಿವೀರ ಸಂಗೊಳ್ಳಿ ರಾಯಣ್ಣ' ಚಿತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿನ ಅಂಶಗಳಿಗೆ ಬೆಳಗಾವಿಯ ಬೈಲಹೊಂಗಲ ತಾಲೂಕಿನ ಸಂಗೊಳ್ಳಿ ಗ್ರಾಮಸ್ಥರು ವಿರೋಧ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸುತ್ತಿರುವುದು ಇದೇ ಮೊದಲಲ್ಲ. ಆರೇಳು ತಿಂಗಳುಗಳ ಹಿಂದೆಯೂ ಗ್ರಾಮದ ಮುಖಂಡರಾದ ಮಲ್ಲನಗೌಡ ಪಾಟೀಲ್ ಮತ್ತು ಮಲ್ಲಿಕಾರ್ಜುನ್ ಕುಡೊಳ್ಳಿ ಕಿಡಿ ಕಾರಿದ್ದರು. ಚಿತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಹಲವು ಅಪಭ್ರಂಶಗಳನ್ನು ತೋರಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ, ಇದು ಸಲ್ಲದು ಎಂದು ಆಕ್ರೋಶ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸಿದ್ದರು.

Challenging star Darshan is now gearing up to play the Karnataka's most celebrated freedom fighter 'Sangolli Rayanna' in director Naganna's upcoming Kannada movie
. 'Sangolli Rayanna' will have a modern day adaptation, which will be launched on Rayanna's birth anniversary on August 15, 2010.

The iconic character 'Sangolli Rayanna' was the Dr Rajkumar's dream role. Even Arjun Sarja, Srinagar Kitty wanted to essay the role. Finally, Darshan has bagged it. The director has finalised on the two main characters. Jayaprada has been chosen as Rani Chennamma of Kittur, while Sandalwood actor appears as 'Sangolli Rayanna'.
'Sangolli Rayanna' is a dream project of director Naganna and his team has been working on the script for the last four years. Since it is a real story, the team has already conducted seminars in Belgaum as part of the research to work out all the details, says Naganna.
According to the director, a few more months will be dedicated to a further research on the historical character.The cast of the movie will be decided after the completion of the script. Kumar-Darshan historical films

Former minister and son of former chief minister S Bangarappa – actor turned politician Kumar Bangarappa is all set to launch the historical film ‘Keladhi Shivappa Nayaka’ growing nearly 20 inches hair especially for the film. On the other hand the challenging star Darshan is all set to appear as ‘Sangolli Rayanna’.
Shivappa Nayaka could be traced in the 16th century in the history books while warrior Rayanna is 20th century personality during the Kittur Rani Chenna pre independence period.
Karnataka Chalanachitra Academy chairman and noted director TS Nagabharana is directing ‘Keladhi Shivappa Nayaka’ and this will be the home production for actor cum politician Kumar Bangarappa. In the natural locations of Shimoga the shoot begins in August this year, says Kumar. “I want this to be the best instead of the biggest”, he says.
There were five queens for Keladhi Shivappa Nayaka but only three queens will be shown on the screen and selection of right artists is also at the final stages.
As many as 17 versions for ‘Keladhi Shivappa Nayaka’ have been made with scholars and professors. Veteran Telugu music director, MM Keervani will be scoring the music for this historical film.
Meanwhile challenging star Darshan is taking up the period cinema related to personality ‘Sangolli Rayanna’ in the direction of Naganna. Arjun of Tamil films with roots in Kannada film was supposed to act in this film when the first announcement came from Naganna.
In 1967 a film with the same title ‘Kranthiveera Sangolli Rayanna’ was made by Chitravani banner in the direction of Ananth Hiregowder. BS Patil, Kamini dharan, Abhi Bhattacharya were in the cast.

Priyamani will be featured as a heroine in the historical film Sangolli Raayanna in which Challenging Star Darshan plays the title role. This news was confirmed by the film's director Naganna in a chat with Chirtaloka Mega Portal.
After working with Power Star Puneet Raj Kumar in the hugely successful Raam and Ganesh in yet to be released Eno Onthara, dusky beauty Priyamani is all set to act in her third film to be produced by Dwarakish and directed by debutant V.Kumar. Though she is one of the two heroines of the film, Priyamani has accepted this film mainly because of the strength and scope of the role that she is playing in the film.
Since Priyamani is being considered for many top ventures in Sandalwood, it is certain that this Bengaluru girl is sure to stay in the Kannada film industry. Now the big news that this dusky beauty Priyamani is all set to be paired with Darshan in the historical film Sangolli Raayanna directed by Naganna is another confirmation that the actress will be having strong roots in the Kannada film industry.
Incidentally this may well be the first period film in which Priyamni will be featured. Sangolli Raayanna will be produced by Ananda Appugol who had earlier made films like Olu Saar Bari Olu. Naganna confirms that Priyamani has been contacted and she has given a positive nod about working in this film. “We are happy that Priyamani would be acting in this film. Already Darshan has been talking excitedly about this role and has expressed satisfaction about the script.
Priyamani has already finished her work in Dwarakish’s untitled (vishnuvardhana) film from which had a five day shoot from August 5. The shooting was held in a bungalow in the Kanakapura Road. Priyamani is paired with Sonu Sood in this film which will have Bhavana playing the love interest for Sudeep.

Priyamani will be featured as a heroine in the historical film Sangolli Raayanna in which Challenging Star Darshan plays the title role. This news was confirmed by the film's director Naganna in a chat with Chirtaloka Mega Portal.
After working with Power Star Puneet Raj Kumar in the hugely successful Raam and Ganesh in yet to be released Eno Onthara, dusky beauty Priyamani is all set to act in her third film to be produced by Dwarakish and directed by debutant V.Kumar. Though she is one of the two heroines of the film, Priyamani has accepted this film mainly because of the strength and scope of the role that she is playing in the film.
Since Priyamani is being considered for many top ventures in Sandalwood, it is certain that this Bengaluru girl is sure to stay in the Kannada film industry. Now the big news that this dusky beauty Priyamani is all set to be paired with Darshan in the historical film Sangolli Raayanna directed by Naganna is another confirmation that the actress will be having strong roots in the Kannada film industry.
Incidentally this may well be the first period film in which Priyamni will be featured. Sangolli Raayanna will be produced by Ananda Appugol who had earlier made films like Olu Saar Bari Olu. Naganna confirms that Priyamani has been contacted and she has given a positive nod about working in this film. “We are happy that Priyamani would be acting in this film. Already Darshan has been talking excitedly about this role and has expressed satisfaction about the script.

Priyamani was recently in Bengaluru for the shoot of her untitled Kannada film produced by Dwarakish. In this film, she dons a special role, though she is not paired with the film's lead actor Sudeep.
Talking about this Kannada film, Priyamani says that the film's executive producer Yogi Dwarakish had approached her for a Tamil film when she was a struggling actor. But the film did not take off as things did not fall in place. "But Yogi has been in constant touch with me ever since. When I heard the script of this new film I decided to choose this challenging role", said Priyamani.
She has also signed another important Kannada film Sangolli Raayanna with Darshan. This historical film traces the life and times of Sangolli Raayanna who waged war against the British rule and built an army of his own.
Priyamani will take part in the promotional programme of her next release Eno Onthara which will have its audio release function shortly. “I have been getting a lot of offers. But I want to take up the best. Discussions are on about some films with Darshan and Ganesh," says Priyamani.
Priyamani is also excited about the release of her forthcoming trilingual film Raktha Charithra. “The movie is based on the true incidents that occurred many years ago. When Ramu sir called me for this film I was really happy. I am playing the role of Bhanumathy and is paired with Suriya in this film. This film will be quite different from my other films", says Priyamani.
Priyamani is already busy working with Nagarjuna in a film. Anushka is also playing the lead role in this film. In the coming days Priyamani will be working on a new female oriented Telugu film.

Jayaprada will be playing the role of Channamma in the historical film Sangolli Raayanna directed by Naganna and produced by Anand Appugol. The actor cum politician has agreed to don the role of Karnataka's much acclaimed queen of Kittoor who waged a war against the British rule. Sangolli Raayanna is an adopted son of Rani Channamma who also joins the fight against the British.
Darshan plays the role of Sangolli Raayanna in the film. The latest news is that Priyamani who had agreed to work in the film has now said that he would not be working in a historical film so early in her career.
The major war sequences of the film will be shot in Jaipur for this film. Already the photo shoot of Darshan in the attire of Sangolli Raayanna has been completed. Darshan is also quite excited about this project which would be quite a different project for him. Biggest DRAWBACK for any historic mvoies is that - The audience will be knwoing the story well in advance there wont be any surprising factors in the movie ....
and as SAID by all this nagaNNa has given super duper hits in the form of REMAKES and not swamakes ....but they tell that thay have taken 2-3 years for making the script - i hope nagaNNa just directs - and he hasnt written the screenplay - if the screenplay is tight then direction would be nice
Kudos to Darshan the challlenging star who has taken a challenging role after a looooooooooong looong time
Hats off to the producer if he is really willing to spend 15-20 crores on the movie
and i seriously think that spending 15-20 crores on a kannada movie is definitely not happening .....ROI is toooo very difficult , well yes its a pride if our fav star is acting in the costliest movie of KFI - but we shud always think how easy or difficult is it to gain back the investment , mind u we are just talking about gaining back the investment - and if we want profit on 15-20 crores -then everything shud be perfect right fropm day 1
budget shouldnt cross 8-10 crores - instead of using manpower - they shud state of the art technologies in this movie as its a historic movie - they will be in need of soldiers horses elephants etc .....for which they shud use the technology....
lot of planning has to be done for promotion,audio release, number of theaters to be released - time of release of the movie ,
Darshan is not a bankable star when it comes to dubbing the movie to other languages - this movie shud be dubbed to other language- so keeping this in mind they shud take some tamil or telugu heroine for this movie - i think this was the reeason they wanted to hire priyamani , i guess they shud go for kajal agarwal - but she charges 1.25 crores but its worth taking her
Coming to the director - instead of experiment they shud go for a proven formula - ie. D's favourite Harikrishna - no matter how busy he would be , he ownt say NO to Darshan movies for his personal relationship with him ....
WELL anyway lets see how it goes - as of now ATB for KVSR
