EEGA Stuns Censor Board

rajamouli’s prestigious project ‘Eega’ starring Nani, Samanta and Sudeep in leads has completed the censor formalities. Film has received a clean ‘U’ certificate with no cuts. Inner sources say that, Censor Board Members praised the CG effects and superb story narration of Rajmouli. However, we do know the story of film as a revenge drama and also aware of Jakkanna’s caliber. So, there is going to be nothing less than a Super Hit in the offering.
‘Eega’ will release in four languages on July 6th which will be a big day for entire cast and crew. Let us wait for an official word from Sai Korrapati, Suresh Babu and rajamouli soon. In order to make this project a very big success, rajamouli is touring Karnataka very much in prior. Let us wish them a very all the best.

Eega Censored and got U/A

Ace director Rajamouli's most waited movie 'Eega' has completed its censor scrutiny today and awarded with clean U/A certificated. Rajamouli tweeted the information in his twitter page ' Censor done and eega is given clean U/A Certification.no cuts.... The officer explained even U/A was due to smoking shots'.

Eega is all set to release on July 6th. Nani and Samantha are the lead pair and kannada actor Sudeep is the villain in this ultimate revenge story. This movie is made as bilingual(Telugu and Tamil) and it will release in four languages(Telugu, Hindi, Tamil and Malayalam).

Sai korrapati proced this movie on Varahi chalana chitra and D. Suresh Babu is the co - producer. M M keeravani composed the music and Senthil kumar is the cinematographer for this visual effects extravaganza.

Rajamouli Lends his Voice for 'Eega'

Most popular director in Tollywood Rajamouli has lent his voice for the Eega character of his most sought film Eega. And it is heard that the dubbing part has came out well. On other hand the makers were extremely happy with the progress of CG work of the film which is under last stages and expressed their confidence that the movie will release as per schedule.

The songs composed by Keeravani are rocking all over and have raised the expectations on this film. Nani and Samantha are the lead pair, while Kannada hero Sudeep plays as antagonist in the film. Eega set to fly on July 6th
Star director Rajamouli's latest movie 'Eega' is all set to release on July 6th. The movie release date is confirmed officially. Earlier, it was supposed to be released on May 30 but it did't happened because of the lag in CG work as this movie is a visual effects extravaganza. Eega is riding on huge expectations among audience and trade circles.

Eega audio which was released some time back is making some note in public, MM Keeravani scored music for this film. Nani and Samantha are the lead pair in this ultimate revenge story. Kannada actor Sudeep plays a villain role in it. Hero Nani who gets killed by the villain reincarnates as Eega and avenges his death and saves his love life Samantha is the story of the movie.

Eega is a true bilingual which has been made in Telugu and Tamil and it will also release in Malayalam. Sai Korrapati is producing the movie on Varahi Chalana Chitram banner while D Suresh Babu is presenting it. The makers are planning to release this movie in 1200 theaters worldwide.

Rajamouli underestimates Eega
Director Rajamouli got the shock of his life when Eega’s Tamil version Naan Ee rights were sold for Rs. 3.35 crore rupees. Rajamouli sold the Tamil rights of Eega to PVP cinemas for Rs. 5 crore. He thought that he has oversold the film and has been regretting it.

But when he came to know that Naan Ee satellite rights itself made 3.35 crores, he got a feeling that he undersold it. That is how film business is. One cannot estimate the caliber of his own film. Someone gets benefitted by taking the risk.

Even making 5 crore from the Tamil version isn’t a joke. It is very hard for a Telugu film to get such an offer from the Tamil producers. Eega proved that there is enough craze for Telugu films in Tamilnadu than our makers think.

Most sought after movie of the season 'Eega' rising expectations by the positive talk from the inner circles of film industry. The movie had got positive feed back from the censor officials after censoring the movie and now the movie unit members are suffused with joy after watching the first copy.

Director Rajamouli shared the reaction of his producers after watching the movie in his tweeter page. He stated that 'Sureshbabu&PV(NAANE producer)saw the 1stcopy last night.both of them hugged me&said they were proud2be a part of eega Felt so so so so happy'.

Eega is all set to release on July 6th and the movie has completed all the formalities and the unit is getting ready to promote the movie in a vast way. Positive waves are spreading all over pertinent to Eega movie. Now we have to wait and see if the movie lives up to all the hype surrounding it.

Sudeep,the Kannada superstar who made a stellar Tollywood debut,tells Hyderabad Times that he has never felt insecure in his long filmi career

From being a virtually unknown name among the Telugu audiences to becoming much-talkedabout for playing eegas arch nemesis,Kannada superstar Sudeep has enjoyed a dream run with his Tollywood debut.However,the actor says there are no dream roles.There is nothing like a dream role.Only after a role is brought to life on screen by somebody,does it become a dream role for someone else, says Sudeep whos done exactly that with his performance in Eega.

However,he thinks director SS Rajamouli deserves most of the credit for his performance.It was Rajamouli who made the all-important casting call.Hed seen me act in Rann and thought I fit the bill.But whether it was Eega or not,I would have done any film with him.Sometimes you chose scripts and other times,you choose people.I just wanted to work with him.Period, says Sudeep,adding,Hes a filmmaker whos never disappointed the audience and I wanted to make sure I did not give anyone an opportunity to complain.

Well,the actor did give a lot of people something to rave about.All the icons of South Indian film industry,especially from Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu called and praised my performance.I felt very good, he shares.

Sudeep also happens to be the only Kannada actor who has managed to break out at a pan-Indian level with films like Phoonk,Rann and Raktha Charitra before Eega happened.Its a huge honour for me that Ive managed to do that and I could talk about this for days.But you can never plan these things even if you want to.I guess it was a matter of being at the right place at the right time, he explains.

Ask him if the offers are pouring in post Eega and Sudeep says,A lot of big names have called,but I want to first finish my Kannada films Varadhanayaka and,Bachchan before I take a call.

But whether hes playing the lead role,a villain or a comedian,they are all characters at the end of the day, Sudeep adds.Whats most important is to understand the character and know what he can and cannot do.I am somebody who gets bored very easily and need to constantly put myself out of my comfort zone and try new things.In fact,with me,the scripts tend to chose me, he says.

It does seem like that,considering Sudeep entered the industry,wanting to be a director.My love for the stage was a hangover from my days as a lead guitarist in a college band.I also wrote some skits as well and nurtured dreams of becoming a filmmaker, he says.However,the first couple of films that he acted in did not even see the light of the day.

My first release was Thayavva,which ran for just about three days, recalls Sudeep,who then went in hibernation from the big screen choosing to act in a TV serial for a while before he came back to do some bit roles.It was Huchcha,a Kannada remake of director Balas Sethu which really changed everything for me.And as they say,there has been no looking back ever since, he says.

Interestingly enough,Sudeep claims to have no insecurities whatsoever.I have never believed that anything or anyone can scare me.I just believe in giving my 100% to whatever I do.In any case every hero is going to become a bore one day,so whats there to be insecure about I work with good intentions,love to walk on the edges,I choose with no regret and dont rest until I succeed, he says.

When he is not working,Sudeep says he isnt much of a party animal either and prefers to hang out with friends.He counts cooking and biking as his favourite indulgences.I can cook anything,Continental and Chinese cuisine are my specialties.I love painting as well,and do a lot of portraits.What I love most is taking off on long rides on my Enfield, he says.

ಆಸ್ಕರ್ ಗೆ ಕಳಿಸಿದ 'ಬರ್ಫಿ' ಚಿತ್ರವೇ ಹತ್ತು ಹಲವು ಕ್ಲಾಸಿಕ್ ಚಿತ್ರಗಳ ಚಿತ್ರಾನ್ನ ಎಂಬುದು ಜಗಜ್ಜಾಹೀರಾದ ಮೇಲೆ ಬಾಲಿವುಡ್ ಮಂದಿ ದಕ್ಷಿಣದ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕನ ಚಿತ್ರ ಮೇಲೆ ಕಣ್ಣು ಹಾಕಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

'2010ರಲ್ಲಿ ತೆರೆ ಕಂಡ ಕಾಕ್ರೋಚ್ (Cockroach) ಚಿತ್ರವನ್ನು ನಕಲು ಮಾಡಿಲ್ಲ. 'ಈಗ' ಚಿತ್ರಕಥೆ ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿ ನೈಜತೆಯಿಂದ ಕೂಡಿದೆ. ಇದಕ್ಕೆ ಜನರೇ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿ ಬೇರೆ ಪುರಾವೆ ಬೇಕಿಲ್ಲ ಎಂದು ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕ ರಾಜಮೌಳಿ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ಉತ್ತರ ಭಾರತದಲ್ಲಿ 'ಈಗ' ಚಿತ್ರದ ಹಿಂದಿ ಅವತರಣಿಕೆಯ ಪ್ರಚಾರ ಕಾರ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿರತರಾಗಿರುವ ರಾಜಮೌಳಿ ಅವರ ಮುಂದೆ ಜಿರಲೆ ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಪತ್ರಕರ್ತರು ಪ್ರಶ್ನೆ ಹಾಕಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

'ಈಗ' ಹಾಗೂ ಕಾಕ್ರೋಚ್ ಎರಡು ಚಿತ್ರಗಳ ಕಥೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸಾಮ್ಯತೆ ಇದೆ ನಿಜ. ಆದರೆ, ಈಗ ಕಥೆಯನ್ನು ಕಾಕ್ರೋಚ್ ಗೂ ಮೊದಲೇ ಬರೆಯಲಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಸದ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ನನ್ನ ಬಳಿ ಪ್ರೂಫ್ ಇಲ್ಲ ಎಂದಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ಈಗ ಚಿತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ನಾಯಕ ಸಾವನ್ನಪ್ಪಿದ ಮೇಲೆ ಪ್ರೀತಿಯನ್ನು ಉಳಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ಹಾಗೂ ವಿಲನ್ ಸಂಹರಿಸಲು ನೊಣ ರೂಪದಲ್ಲಿ ಜನ್ಮತಾಳುತ್ತಾನೆ. ಕಾಕ್ರೋಚ್ ಚಿತ್ರದಲ್ಲೂ ಇದೇ ರೀತಿ ಕಥೆ ಇದ್ದು, ನಾಯಕ ಪ್ರೀತಿಗಾಗಿ ಜಿರಲೆ ರೂಪಧರಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ. ಎರಡು ಚಿತ್ರಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಲನ್ ಮೇಲೆ ಅಟ್ಯಾಕ್ ಮಾಡುವ ತಂತ್ರಗಳು ಬಹುತೇಕ ಒಂದೇ ರೀತಿ ಇದೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಲಾಗಿದೆ.

ಈಗ ಚಿತ್ರ ಜನ್ಮ ತಾಳುವ ಮುನ್ನ ಹಲವಾರು ಹಾಲಿವುಡ್ ಅನಿಮೇಷನ್ ಚಿತ್ರಗಳನ್ನು ನೋಡಿದ್ದೆ. ಇದೇ ರೀತಿ 'ರಿವೇಂಜ್ 'ಕಥೆಯುಳ್ಳ ಫ್ಲೂಕ್ ಚಿತ್ರ ಇಷ್ಟವಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಆ ಚಿತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ನಾಯಿಯೊಂದು ದ್ವೇಷ ಸಾಧಿಸುವ ಕತೆ ಇದೆ.

ಅಸಲಿಗೆ ಕಾಕ್ರೋಚ್ ಚಿತ್ರವೇ 1995ರಲ್ಲಿ ತೆರೆಕಂಡ ಕಾರ್ಲೊ ಕಾರ್ಲೈ ನಿರ್ದೇಶನದ 'ಫ್ಲೂಕ್' ಚಿತ್ರದ ಕಾಪಿ. 'ಈಗ' ಹಾಗೂ ಕಾಕ್ರೋಚ್ ರಿಮೇಕ್ ಅಥವಾ ನಕಲು ಎನ್ನುವುದು ಸರಿ ಕಾಣುವುದಿಲ್ಲ ಎಂದು ರಾಜಮೌಳಿ ಗರಂ ಆಗಿ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ಈಗ ಚಿತ್ರ ತೆಲುಗು, ತಮಿಳು ಭಾಷೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಡಬ್ ಆಗಿ ಭರ್ಜರಿ ಯಶಸ್ಸು ತಂದಿದೆ. ಕನ್ನಡದ ಕಿಚ್ಚ ಸುದೀಪ್ ಅವರ ಜನಪ್ರಿಯತೆ ಇನ್ನಷ್ಟು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸಿದೆ. ಬಾಲಿವುಡ್ ನಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾತ್ರ ಕೆಲವರು ಕೊಂಕು ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ಇತ್ತೀಚೆಗೆ ಮುಂಬೈನಲ್ಲಿ 'ಮಕ್ಕಿ' ಚಿತ್ರವನ್ನು ಶಾರುಖ್ ಖಾನ್, ಚಿತ್ರ ನಿರ್ಮಾತ ರಾಜು ಹಿರಾನಿ ಹಾಗೂ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕ ರೋಹಿತ್ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ ನೋಡಿ ಮೆಚ್ಚುಗೆ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಆಸ್ಕರ್ ರೇಸ್ ನಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ 'ಈಗ' ಬರ್ಫಿ ಹಿಂದಿಕ್ಕುವಲ್ಲಿ ಸೋತಿತ್ತು ಎಂಬುದನ್ನು ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ಮರಿಸಬಹುದು.

Director SS Rajamouli, who is busy promoting Makkhi, the Hindi version of his recent blockbuster movie Eega, has denied the charges of copying 2010 Australian flick Cockroach. The Tollywood filmmaker says that Eega is completely an original story and he has no substantial proof to prove it.

SS Rajamouli's denial came when he was quizzed about it during a recent promotional event of the movie Makkhi in North India. The director said that Eega is a unique story created by himself, but he does not have any concrete evidence to prove. He added that he is disappointed by the parallels between Eega and Cockroach.

SS Rajamouli said that he has watched several Hollywood animation movies while making Eega. He has also watched Fluke, which is a revenge drama of dog. He added that Cockroach itself was a copy of director Carlo Carlei's 1995 English movie Fluke. The comparison between Eega and Cockroach has upset the director.

The critically acclaimed Tollywood filmmaker further said that he had penned the script of Eega before watching any of the Hollywood movies and it is just a coincidence that both have similar storyline. But SS Rajamouli insisted that Eega is an original piece written by himself.

However, Eega has done a wonderful collection at the domestic and international Box Office. Its Hindi version Makkhi has also garnered rave reviews from Bollywood superstar Shahrukh Khan, filmmaker Raju Hirani and director Rohit Shetty who recently watched the film at a special screening held in Mumbai.
