Kiccha SUDEEP,Chiru Sarja in "VARADANAYAKA"(tentative)

Varadanayaka From June 20th

Kichcha Sudeepa, Action King Arjun and Chiranjeevi Sarja will be acting together in a new Kannada film Varadanayaka to be produced by Shankare Gowda who has recently tasted success through his film Kempe Gowda directed by Sudeepa.

This new film Vardanayaka which is all set to be launched on June 20th in Bengaluru will be directed by Ayyappa who has directed films like Aayudha produced by Rockline Venkatesh. And yet to be released Malashri starrer Veera produced by Ramu Enterprises. This film is the remake of Telugu Hit Lakshyam, but Ayyappa Sharma says that he has made several changes from the original script which had Gopi Chand and Anushka in the lead.

"We have included Arjun Sarja to play a special role in the film, though there was no such role in the original Telugu film. Sudeepa will be playing the role of a dynamic police officer in the film. We have increased the space and scope for this role in the Kannada film.

We have roped in Priyamani to play lead with Sudeepa in this film. The search is on for a heroine for Chiranjeevi Sarja and we are in contact with several Kannada heroines. We are in touch with Radhika Pandit, but she is still trying to do her best in allotting the dates for the film' says Shankare Gowda.

Sudeep big brother in Varadanayaka...

Producer Shankare Gowda is on continuous remakes. He made ‘Srimathi’ remake of Hindi film ‘Aitraaz’, ‘ Kempe Gowda’ remake of Tamil film ‘Singham’ and now on ‘Varadanayaka’ a 2007 Telugu film ‘Lakshyam’ remake starred by Gopichand, Anushka, Jagapathi Babu. It was debut of director Srinivas for producer Nallamalupu Srinivas in Lakshmi Narasimha Productions.

In Kannada version of ‘Lakshyam’ with 35 percent changes to the five years ago released film ‘Varadanayaka’ Sudeep is playing what Jagapathi Babu had done. Gopichand role is played by Chiranjeevi Saraja and Anushka role is repeated by Nikesha Patel.

Addressing the crowded media at Goldfinch Hotel Shankre Gowda said ‘Varadanayaka’ has completed 25 percent of shoot. Sudeep is joining in first week of December. After ‘Just Math Mathalli’ Sudeepji helped me from ‘ Kempe Gowda’. Again from ‘Srimathi’ I was in trouble Sudeepji came with a statement I am here to help you. That’s how ‘Varadanayaka’ has come up says Gowda.

Arjun Janya is the music composer. Director Ayyappa Sharma debuted in 1996 with Rockline Productions ‘Ayudha’ and he was traveling in various capacities in the cinema industry.

Chiranjeevi Sarja plays the spoiled brat and his characterization related to youths of today. This is different according to him. Nikisha Patel plays the heroine to Chiranjeevi Sarja. Nikisha Patel heroine of ‘Narashima’ Kannada film is playing a role that is not she in the film.

Directing a remake is difficult compared to original. We have to take the light to further glow. There is a benchmark already and comparisons are obvious says Sudeep who is cop in the film.

Varadanaayaka To Start Shoot From Feb 27

Producer Shankare Gowda’s new film Varadanaayaka directed by Ayyappa will start its final lap of shooting from Monday, the February 27. Only sequences featuring Kicha Sudeep who is playing a special role in the film is to be shot now. Already major portions of the film featuring Chiranjeevi Sarja and heroine Nikisha Patel has been shot for the film. The film is a remake of Telugu film Lakshyam’ featuring Gopichand and Jagapathi Babu in main roles. Sudeep is playing the role of a dynamic police officer who taken on the underworld. This role was played by Jagapathi Babu in the original Telugu film.

Sources said that Telugu actress Kamalini Mukherjee will be paired with Sudeep and already contact has been established with the actress. Apparently Kamalini is very happy to work in the film and paired with Sudeep. She had earlier acted in Kannada film “Savaari’ directed by Jacob Varghese.

According to the film’s producer Shankare Gowda, the space for Sudeep’s role has been expanded and he will also be featured in two romantic songs with the heroine. He says Sudeep will work for thirty to thirty five days for his film.

Sources said that Telugu actress Kamalini Mukherjee will be paired with Sudeep and already contact has been established with the actress. Apparently Kamalini is very happy to work in the film and paired with Sudeep. She had earlier acted in Kannada film “Savaari’ directed by Jacob Varghese.

The actor has no film offers from any south industry

Bollywood actor Sameera Reddy was filmmaker Gautham Vasudev Menons muse at one point in time and even had a blockbuster with Suriya in Vaaranam Aayiram in 2008.Another role followed in Gauthams Nadunisi Naaygal,which didnt fare well.So too her flick Vedi with Vishal.Though her 2012 release,the Madhavan-starrer Vettai,was an average hit,Sameera has not bagged any new films in Tamil.
The same can be said about her career in Tollywood and Mollywood.The actor has not signed any flicks in either of these industries in the last few years.Her last Telugu film was Ashok in 2006,while in Malayalam it was Oru Naal Varum in 2010.However,she recently did manage to bag a guest role in a Kannada film titled Varadhanayaka,with Sudeep,for which shes rumoured to have been paid between 35 and 45 lakh.
The initial attraction of the south film industry for the actor from Bollywood seems to have waned.So,has Sameera reached an impasse in the south Some industry insiders feel that shes too old,having well crossed 30,while others say that her statuesque frame doesnt suit the roles or pairing with heroes often.The industrys constant quest for new faces has also definitely had an impact on the careers of many heroines.
Says a filmmaker on condition of anonymity,Sameera is not a Bollywood A-list actor in the first place.She looked at roles in the south only because she wasnt getting great films up north.Her Bollywood career was supported to a great extent by Priyadarshan films and his last film,Tezz,was a dud.
Now since Gautham has moved on to another muse in Kollywood and with other south filmmakers keen on roping in A-list Bollywood heroines or new faces,it looks like Sams career here could be on hold indefinitely.[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
