Bachchan Creates Box Office Record


Sudeep-starrer Bachchan directed by Shashank has created new box office collection records. The film released in 194 theatres on April 11, a Thursday. According to Shashank, the gross collections in the first four days are as follows: Thursday, April 11 - Rs 1.5 Crore. Friday, April 12 - Rs 1 Crore, Saturday, April 13 - Rs 1 crore and Sunday, April 14 - Rs 1.5 crore. The total for the first four days is therefore Rs 5 crore, which is a record opening weekend collection ever for a Kannada film, says Shashank.
In his message to Chitraloka, he said, "This is an all time record! And in so many centers it has created new record in collection! And 1st week end collection is also going to be a new record. We dedicate this success to you also. It would not have been possible without your support."
In Mysore, Bachchan is set to become the first Kannada film to get the producer a share of Rs 1 crore.

Bachchan Remake Rights in Demand - Exclusive

Sudeep starrer 'Bachchan' is not only doing great business in Karnataka, but producers and distributors are hogging for the remake and dubbing rights of the film in the last few days.
Bollywood producer Chetan Rawail has come forward to buy the remake rights of the film. Chetan who has dates of actor Ajay Devagan wants to remake the film with Ajay in lead role in Hindi. Earlier, producer Uday K Mehta had plans to dub the film in Tamil, Hindi and other languages. Now with remake offers pouring in Uday Mehta is not able to decide whether to dub the film in Hindi or sell the remake rights of the film to other producer.
Uday who has not yet taken any decision regarding this has decided to consult Sudeep in this regard and will come to a decision only after having talks with Sudeep.
