Mixed sentiments at the Chinese bourses. Hang Seng is up 0.24% and Shanghai is down 0.14%. Singapore is trading flat and is down just one point.

The strike at Nashik unit of M&M is called off and the management and the union have reached to a settlement. The management has withdrawn the suspension of two workers but some long term hiccups are still there. The talks are going on to settle other disputes. The terms of settlement are yet to be known but earlier the workers demanded an average salary hike of Rs 36,000. The management and the union have set April 15 as the date to reach to a pact on salary hike dispute.

The offer for sale of Mahindra Holidays gets overwhelming response and the OFS gets bid for 87 lakh shares, one-and-a-half times more than the number of stocks on offer. The indicative price of the OFS was Rs 272.59 while the floor price set by the issuer was Rs 270. Government has indicated that it would also come out with OFS issues of some PSU entities in the next two weeks. The response that Mahindra Holidays has got is certainly encouraging to companies like SAIL, MMTC and RCF as they are slated to come out with their OFS issues.
